What makes a ‘good’ User Story?

A good user story clearly describes who the user is, what they need, and why it matters.
For example:
‘As a citizen applying for a driving licence, I want to complete my application online so that I do not have to visit a government office.’
Effective stories are:
• Clear and easy to understand
• Testable, with defined outcomes
• Valuable to the user
• Small enough to complete within a Sprint
Use the INVEST and SPIDR models to assess quality and ensure acceptance criteria are agreed before development begins.
